One Year Later / Blogmas Day 17

Today is a very special day for Dany and myself. It’s our one year wedding anniversary. One year ago today we became husband and wife in the presence of God, friends, and our family. When I was little, I used to think a year was a very long amount of time, but now I know that it really isn’t. In this first year of marriage we have learned a lot, we have grown more in love with each other, and have been truly blessed by the Lord (in the good and the hard times).

Well, what better time then now to talk about our wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and we loved every detail.

THE VENUE

We got married at Milagro which is a beautiful winery in Ramona, CA. This venue was absolutely beautiful and a perfect blend of everything we wanted. It looked like you were up in the mountains, had a large tree we could get married under, and had an Italian look to the reception area.

THE FLOWERS

I had the privilege of working at Soiree Design and Events a while back. When it came time for my wedding, they made all my flowers. Our flowers were beautiful and my bouquet was a dream (it was really heavy because of all the flowers).

THE DECORATIONS

Our decorations/decorating was done by our friends Royce and Krista. They are both talented people who have started their own businesses (LIGHTS & FLAG CO. and WOOD & PAPER COLLECTIVE). The “Benvenuti” sign was made by my friend Demi (Dem Letters).

THE FOOD

Dany’s family put together an antipasti bar and also made the desserts, with the exception of the miniature pies (made by my sister in law) and the cake (made by my sister and my best friend). For the salad and main course we had our wedding catered by Harvest Kitchen. They made delicious food (unfortunately we don’t have any pictures).

THE DRESS

My dress was an Oleg Cassini that I got from David’s Bridal.

THE BRIDAL PARTY

Our bridal party was filled with so many beautiful people that we love.

THE CEREMONY

The wedding ceremony was really sweet. Dany and I wrote our own vows (we also exchanged the traditional vows). We had three different pastors perform our ceremony because we loved them all and wanted each of them involved in our wedding.

 THE RECEPTION

Our reception space was beautiful and had a very Italian look to it, which we loved. The most important part of our reception was having almost all of our friends and family celebrating with us. Unfortunatly, Dany’s father was very ill and not able to come to our wedding.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY

Dany and I absolutely love our wedding photos. They were taken by our lovely friends Scott and Amanda (Sanford Creative). They are very talented photographers.

THE WEDDING VIDEO

Our wedding video was filmed by our friends Sam and Delanie (Morgan Collective). They are another married couple that are very talented in photography and videography.

This day was so special for Dany and myself. I hope that you have enjoyed a little look at our wedding day. I have placed the information of each of our vendors below.
