It’s pretty obvious, makeup is something that I really love, but it gets expensive. If you are like me, and can’t spend too much money on makeup (or anything else haha) then finding affordable makeup is great. Physicians Formula is a makeup brand that, I would say, is more expensive than other drugstore makeup brands. The thing about Physicians Formula, is that there products are more natural. Physicians Formula was started by Dr. Frank Crandall. He started Physicians Formula for his wife, who suffered from Lupus. She wanted makeup that wouldn’t bother her sensitive skin.
I haven’t used many of their products, but I have used their Butter Bronzer (a favorite amongst many) and a couple other products. Physicians Formula recently added new products to their line. Here are all their new products.
CHARCOAL DETOX CLEANSING STICK (9.95$)
This product from Physicians Formula is actually a skincare product. This product is “a revolutionary deep-pore cleansing treatment stick made of purifying charcoal.” It “draws out dirt, oil, and impurities delivering a deep clean while leaving skin silky-smooth, ultra-soft, and visibly clear.”
REFRESHMINT CUCUMBER & BAMBOO EYE DE-PUFFER (9.95$)
Another skincare products from Physicians Formula, this is “a cooling, hydrating, and fast-absorbing treatment stick for an instant pick-me-up! A skin-nourishing blend of green ingredients include: Peppermint, Cucumber, and Aloe Vera cool skin to visibly reduce the appearance of tired eyes, while hydrating Bamboo Shoot and Glacial Mineral Water refresh skin.”
ROSÉ ALL DAY OIL-FREE SERUM (14.95$)
The last skincare product, is the Rosé All Day Oil Free Serum. Which is “an anti-oxidant packed, oil-free, pearluminous formula that helps tighten and brighten skin for a radiant glow. Enriched with Rose Water to help soothe, calm, and hydrate skin. Formulated with antioxidant-rich Goji and Kakadu Plum – the richest Vitamin C source of any fruit.”
SPOTLIGHT ILLUMINATING PRIMER (14.95$)
This new primer from Physicians Formula is for all you ladies that love to glow. Personally, I love makeup products that provide a glow. This primer is “a universally flattering illuminating primer that blurs, corrects, and protects to deliver a radiant, spotlight glow.” I would like to try this primer and see if it can deliver on all of its claims.
THE HEALTHY FOUNDATION SPF 20 (14.95$)
This foundation from Physicians Formula comes in 16 shades and is “a long-wearing, buildable, and breathable foundation that provides lightweight, medium-to-full coverage with a healthy, satin finish.” I watched part of a YouTube video by Kathleen Lights, and she mentioned that it doesn’t have much coverage at all. So, I am not sure if it will live up to its “medium-to-full coverage” claim, but I would like to try this foundation.
BUTTER BRONZER (14.95$)
I’m sure everyone who loves the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer was very excited when they came out with two new shades. I have thought before, that they needed to come out with darker shades. Now they have a sunkissed bronzer and deep bronzer. I have used the shade Bronzer for a while now. That shade is more cool toned and I have noticed it can look gray/muddy at times, but I still use it daily. There isn’t much pigmentation, but it is buildable. I’m not sure how these 2 new shades will be, but I would really like to try the sunkissed bronzer. These bronzers are “ultra-luxurious bronzer, infused with Murumuru Butter, delivers a radiant Brazilian goddess glow! Incredibly creamy and soft texture combines the best features of a powder and cream bronzer, to deliver a lit-from-within tropical glow unlike any other.”
BUTTER HIGHLIGHTER (10.95$)
Physicians Formula already had the Butter Bronzer and Butter Blush, but now they have Butter Highlighters. I really want to try them. They are available in 5 different shades. Rose gold, pink, champagne, pearl, and iridescent. These are “long-wearing, finely-pressed, cream-to-powder formula has a unique bouncy texture that melts into skin for the creamiest, most gorgeous highlighted finish.”
BROW LAST LONGWEARING BROW GEL (10.95$)
I really love bold eyebrows on myself. Brow gel is something that helps hold your brows into place and can provide more color/texture to them. This brow gel comes in 4 shades. Medium brown, light brown, dark brown, and blonde. They are “longwearing, water-resistant, transfer-proof, smudge-proof, budge-proof brow transformer with brow-enhancing ingredients.”
I have only ever used Physicians Formula’s Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara, and to be honest it was horrible. I wore it (ended up crying about something) and it completely left my eyelashes and went into my eyes. It was painful. After that I stopped wearing it. Hopefully, this one is better. This mascara comes in 2 shades, black and black/brown. It is “a voluptuous, full-volume curling mascara with an hourglass brush that coats and sets even the tiniest lashes.” Personally, I will not be trying this mascara.
ORGANIC WEAR ORGANIC ROSE OIL LIP POLISH (9.95$)
It’s winter, which means your lips are probably are/have been dry. A lip scrub helps exfoliate dead skin on your lips and keeps them soft. Make sure you apply a lip balm after. This is “a gentle, exfoliating lip polish infused with Organic Rosehip Oil to replenish and nourish lips.”
THE HEALTHY LIP VELVET LIQUID LIPSTICK (7.95$)
Lastly, we have these liquid lipsticks. Available in 13 shades and is a “long-wearing, decadent mousse-like texture lipstick delivers high-impact color that glides on for seamless one-stroke color payoff.”
Well, there you have it. The new Physicians Formula products. FYI none of these new products I have tried. The product information found in quotation marks is from the Physicians Formula website, and is their description of the products.
