I don’t know about you but the word “favorite” is used quite frequently in my vocabulary. In fact, my family often jokes that “everything is my favorite”. Which is definitely true especially when it comes to makeup. Hey, that’s not a bad thing. It just means there are a lot of things that I love.
Well, I decided to write a blog post all about the makeup I’ve been loving lately. Some of these items I’ve recently discovered, and some are favorites. Most of them are affordable too.
All the photos have been linked to the items.
This e.l.f eyebrow kit (in the shade Medium) has been a favorite for a while. Inside there is a eyebrow wax and setting powder. It also comes with a little eyebrow brush. Personally, the setting powder and brush are not the best. That’s my opinion though, you may actually love them. The eyebrow wax is really good though. I’ve been using it everyday to fill in my brows. Want to know the best part, it’s only 3$ for this eyebrow kit.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer (in the shade Luminous Bronze Light) has recently become my favorite bronzer. It has a radiant finish and is definitely a warm toned bronzer. So, if you prefer a cool toned matte bronzer this probably isn’t for you. I actually have been using the mini size. I really like the way this bronzer looks on me.
This lipstick from L’Oréal (in the shade Glossy Fawn) is actually one that I have had for a little while, but recently started loving (basically two days ago). This lipstick has a glossy finish, which normally isn’t my favorite. I’ll be honest, the reason that I have been loving it, is because of the way it looks with my lip liner (which we will talk about in a minute). The combination of the lip liner and this lipstick is beautiful.
This Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation is one that I’ve recently tried. I got two samples from Sephora (in the shade 90 and another that I don’t remember). I really liked the way this foundation looked on me. I mixed the two shades together and it was really nice. I would need to see if there is an exact match for me. My absolute favorite foundation is the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (in the shade Mont Blanc) but it’s not on the list of pregnancy safe foundations (which I found on a blog called 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic). This Lancôme foundation however is. This foundation claims to have a velvety matte finish with no powdery effect. Personally, foundations with a glow are what I usually use. Matte foundations are not my favorite. However, this foundation I really liked. I would definitely consider purchasing it (gotta save up some money because it is expensive).
Now let’s talk about that lip liner. I have been loving this Maybelline Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner (in the shade Totally Toffee). I’ve been wearing this almost every day. This shade is really pretty and it’s matte. I would describe it as a dark pinkish/brown. I was wearing this by itself, but then a couple days ago discovered how beautiful it looks with the L’Oréal lipstick that I mentioned earlier. By itself, it’s dry on the lips but that’s really not the end of the world to me. One thing to mention, this lip liner is not one that you can sharpen. It actually twists up to reveal more of the liner. Which is nice because sharpening lip liner usually doesn’t go well for me. The downside to that is when you use the lip liner it can move. I really do love this lip liner and have repurchased it.
Lastly, we have the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (in the shade 05 Ivory). This is not a full coverage concealer, but it still has good enough coverage for me. There are only 12 shades of this concealer, so it would be nice if they added more shades. I really do love this concealer though.
I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post. If you end up trying any of these makeup products let me know what you think.
